My desire to help others started in high school where I had the opportunity to attend a magnet school offering physical therapy/ occupational therapy aid certificate. After graduating from the greatest university known to man, University of Central Florida, I continued my pursuits, becoming a dual degree graduate at the University of St. Augustine. It was here in the small town of St. Augustine God crossed my path with Dr. NaPortia. We learned we both have a fascination with the human body and our hearts were aligned with a passion for women's health. Since, I have traveled a path that has led us to Refined.
As a transplant to Georgia by way of Florida, California, Italy, Japan, AND Texas it all worked out the the man God had for me was here in Georgia. My husband and I love to travel, go to the movies and spend time with family. We plan to start a family and I will definitely be using the great tips Refined gives!!!
Since a child, I have always had an interest in the body and how it functions during all aspects of life. While completing my Masters at “The Real GSU”, Georgia Southern University, I fell in love with women’s health, specifically pregnancy and post-partum. During my time as an adjunct instructor, teaching a health and wellness course, is when I gained a greater appreciation for wellness. I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine, in St. Augustine FL, where I met Dr. Chryston. On one of our many trips to Atlanta, Refined became more than just an idea.
Being a Georgia native, I was excited about moving back home and being close to family and friends. My husband and I are enjoying life with our spunky 1 year-old daughter while exploring the culinary scene of Metro-Atlanta as “not your average foodies.” We are currently working on a major project that we can’t wait to share with the world. It will be revolutionizing! So stay tuned!
